countdown to 2012

The new year is quickly approaching and I am eagerly awaiting.  For many reasons.  Here are just a few:

1. I plan to change the way people say 2012 from “two-thousand twelve” to “twenty twelve”

2. I already have some great goals (you might call them resolutions) for my future

3. There are already trips being planned

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  –Mark Twain

a Christmas story

A very clever way to tell the story of the birth of Jesus.

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas – 2011

As Patrick and I are enjoying our time off from work, I put together a slideshow of this past year.  Looking over the photos has been a great reminder of how wonderful life is.  I feel like we have been very blessed this year and I am looking forward to what 2012 may bring. I hope this message finds you well.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and God bless!

a hunting we will go

This past weekend we went snowshoeing into the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest to hunt for our Christmas tree.  It was a great day to be in the snow, and we returned with a beautiful tree.  Patrick was very enthusiastic about the tree I had discovered, and he “chopped” it down.  The following photos are from our journey.
