4 weeks to due date
Posted: July 29, 2012 Filed under: Family 1 Comment“Now we are ready.”
This is what we have been saying to each other for months now. After each little achievment we would make that statement…yet I realize that we will likely never be ready. And I am okay with that.
Crib assembled.
Birth class done.
Read the right books.
Showers showered.
Car seat installed.
Diaper bag packed.
Met with a pediatrician.
Birth plan – in progress.
And countless other events that accumulate into “being ready”.
I am savoring these final days of my belly. I have enjoyed most every moment of this journey and I am over the moon excited to move into the next chapter. Baby still doesn’t have a name, but we are not worried about making up our minds when the time comes. He is incredibly active and I love to watch and feel him roll around. My energy isn’t what it used to be, but having summer break to relax and spend time with my husband has been a blessing. Patrick is going to be an amazing daddy.
This was our final day of birth class.

My very talented friend Kelly Bauer met me and Patrick at Pike Place a couple of weeks ago and took some fabulous shots. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to pose for my friend. Thanks Kelly!!!
You can take a look at her work on KRB Studio’s facebook page.

Posted: July 14, 2012 Filed under: Art, Family, Friends Leave a commentMy dear friend Brianne is expecting a girl in mid August, as well as bringing a girl home from Ethiopia any day now at the end of the month. We are so excited for her and Eddie. I was graciously invited to her baby shower in June. I was unable to make the trip to Florida, but sent a gift instead. I saw a pin on her Pintrest board that inspired my gift to her growing family.
Love you Bri!
Oregon – July 2012
Posted: July 13, 2012 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentHeaded east across Washington on I-90, then south through Yakima, we journeyed into Oregon. Washington Family Ranch was our first destination to visit with friends we haven’t seen in 7 years. After a few days we traveled to Portland to drop off Daisy the dog with my aunt and uncle. Then our gastronomic adventure began. Overall a great 4 days in Oregon.

Patrick and I are in full summer break mode. We spent the 4th in central Oregon at Washington Family Ranch with some friends. We’re now in Portland eating our way through the city.
Whiffies Pies food truck. We tried the Mounds (chocolate and coconut) and marrionberry pies.
